Fever Profile Test
These panels are usually done in cases of fevers of unknown origins causing symptoms for a few days. The profile includes tests that screen for multiple causes of fever at one go, thereby helping to diagnose and start treatment immediately. Infections like malaria, dengue and typhoid can be life-threatening if not treated in time.

When do you need to get a fever profile tests done?
A fever profile should be done when one has fever for at least 48-72 hours with an unknown diagnosis. Also blood sample should be collected, ideally before an antibiotic is initiated.
